Mon premier Grand Prix

My first Grand Prix I entered was the Swedish Grand Prix in Uddevalla 1958. My rank at that time was 3rd or 4th in Sweden. Tibblin, Rickardsson, Dahlén and me !

I went to the track with my brother, Hans, in a Peugeot station wagon with two bikes in it. I was riding on a very experimental 200cc Husqvarna with two exhaust pipes.

To be able to ride the final you had to qualify through two heats. I was leading my heat when I got ignition problem and my bike stopped. It was raining and really wet and the cord to the sparkplug came to close to the exhaust pipes and got a contact! The two exhaust pipes were too close together. The bike was never tested in wet conditions !

Lennart Dahlén won the Grand Prix in Uddevalla Muller and Ove Lundell came 2d and 3d. And from what I remember my brother was 8th or 9th !
